Professor. Problem Solver. Parent with purpose.

Hi, I’m Luke.

Co-Founder & Chief Researcher

By training, I’m a researcher and problem solver. I serve as a Professor of Applied Statistics at the University of Pennsylvania, where I focus on health services research and program evaluation. I work every day to answer complex questions with clarity—and to find practical, evidence-based solutions that make a difference.

That same mindset is what helped shape Bud and Bloom.

When our daughter needed support, I did what I do best: I went to work.

To find our way, I immersed myself in the world of neurodivergence—studying options, evaluating resources, and tracking down the people and programs that could help our daughter thrive. Every new challenge became an opportunity to learn, act, and improve what came next.

Over time, we built something powerful—a patchwork of providers and practices that worked for our family. And through that journey, we saw an opportunity to build something even bigger for others.

Bud and Bloom is our way of bringing that vision to life: a model of care rooted in research, real-world experience, and compassion.

We’re working to close the gap for families like ours—so no one has to navigate this journey alone, or without the experienced support they truly need.
