Role Overview 

The Behavioral Support Consultant is a key clinical leader within Bud and Bloom's innovative in-home care model. Working directly with neurodivergent children and their families, this role combines clinical expertise with real-world application to create meaningful, lasting change in family systems. 

This is not a traditional clinic-based role. Our BSCs are clinical specialists who design and oversee individualized behavior support plans in authentic home environments. They bridge the gap between evidence-based practice and everyday family life, leading a collaborative team approach that empowers both children and caregivers to thrive. 

Whether it's conducting functional behavior assessments, coaching caregivers through challenging transitions, or adapting intervention strategies to fit unique family dynamics, our Bud and Bloom’s BSCs bring clinical excellence directly into the homes where it matters most. 

Core Responsibilities 

Clinical Leadership & Assessment 

  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments and develop individualized behavior support plans for neurodivergent children  

  • Design evidence-based interventions and approaches 

  • Analyze behavioral data and modify intervention strategies based on progress and family needs 

  • Ensure all interventions align with best practices and regulatory requirements 

Direct Service & Implementation 

  • Provide direct behavioral observation services in home  

  • Model intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies for families  

  • Support children through complex behavioral challenges while maintaining therapeutic relationships 

  • Adapt interventions to fit natural family routines and cultural contexts

Family Coaching & Empowerment 

  • Coach caregivers on implementing behavioral strategies consistently across all environments 

  • Provide psychoeducation about neurodevelopmental differences and behavioral principles 

  • Support families in developing sustainable routines and coping strategies 

  • Navigate complex family dynamics with sensitivity and cultural responsiveness 

Team Supervision & Collaboration 

  • Conduct routine family meetings and consultations 

  • Collaborate with external providers including schools, therapists, and medical professionals 

  • Ensure continuity and coherence of care across all team members and settings 

Documentation & Compliance 

  • Maintain detailed clinical records and progress documentation 

  • Complete required assessments, behavior support plans, and progress reports 

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and professional standards 

  • Participate in quality assurance and outcome measurement activities

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Special Education, or related field 

  • Current Pennsylvania BSC certification  

  • Knowledge of evidence-based principles and approaches  

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Commitment to family-centered, strengths-based practice 

Entry-Level Welcome

Preferred

  • BSC licensure 

  • Previous experience providing behavioral health services to children and families 

  • Experience with functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention planning 

  • Experience in home-based or family-centered service delivery 

  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and developmental disabilities
